I realize fully that it’s the 2010’s.
But today nostaligia awaits me.
I turned on the car radio and there was Eagle Eye Cherry sending me morning greetings.
Right now I just heard Eric listening to Lit.
Someone else is listening to Alanis Morisette.
And I am currently grinning from ear to ear listening to this:
This makes me think about watching MTV with Kady and Jessica while drinking A&W rootbeer. We were probably discussing what happened on the latest episode of “Felicity” and talking about how we wished there was a little less TRL and a little more rock music on MTV… Oh how times have changed, and I blame Jessica Simpson.
I’ve been in a 90s mood for a while, a lot of this is solved by listening to that Pandora 90s station that brings my 90s dreams to a reality. But the dangerous thing is now I’m going around town singing songs like “Lovefool” and “Poison,” poorly.
I wish I were listening to it on a crisp new walkman…
Hey Jimmy… don’t you wish you were listening to Natalie Imbruglia right now?
♫Lauren (the girl who shook Tina Fey’s hand)
In this crazy week where I discovered my new favorite word “Biwinning” I thought I was on top of the world… Ahem, winning. Duh.
Today the internet told me that Phil Collins is retiring, you can read the article here.
I have been through phases where I want to stab my head in, due to the overplay of that song from Tarzan. But I never thought this day would come. I mean for a lot of people born in the 80’s Phil Collin’s music has been ingrained in your existence… Like this song:
I have unironically been listening to Phil Collins for the last fortnight… and just wanted you to know in a with a slight Natalie Imbruglia reference “this is how I feel:”
Also take at least this Phil Collins song with you (which is one of my faves):
Have a nice Phil Collins infused weekend.
UPDATE: PHIL COLLINS IS ONLY TAKING A BREAK. I FEEL RELIEVED IN A BEAUTIFUL WAY. BUT I’M STILL GOING TO LISTEN TO GENESIS IN MY CUBICLE WITH THE FURY AND INTENSITY OF LLOYD DOBLER.
Yesterday when I was driving home this song played in my car.
I busted this jam, all the way. I love small children rapping.
It made me want to wear my pants backwards, and jump jump.
All “Heathers” related instances aside I wish you would watch this video:
Marvel at Mark McGrath and his alergy to sleeved shirts.
What can you say about a man likes to remain sleeve free. I would like everyone to know I had this picture 2 years i a row on my collaged folder in high school:
That’s like (500) days of Mark McGrath…
On a closely related story:
Doesn’t it look like Mark and Ethan could be related? The answer, yes.
Here is a good place to add this:
