Happy Birthday America

Wait…

I had enough time to draw 2 things this week

#ALLMYDREAMSARECOMINGTRUE

This one was inspired by the fact that anytime we hang a flag Elliott thinks it’s his duty to attack it.

He has been staring at the American Flag all afternoon.

And he really looks confident this year.

America!

I would personally like to say the following 2 things

1. I love patriotic Holidays.

2. I like days when I’m not so preoccupied with work, and tired from all the chaos that is contained in one office building that I get to draw.

This doesn’t happen very often nowadays.

So let’s get into this drawing. I won’t say anything sarcastic about the US, because it’s pretty cool and if it wasn’t for like 15,000 different cultures coming here to exist…. I know I certainly wouldn’t.

So Happy Birthday America, and for the next 48 hours everything will be fireworks, red white & blue, powdered wigs, and Alexander Hamilton look-a-like contests.

Also not having to go to work and getting to draw is so amazing that it hurts!

A Lunch Message from Sean

One of my new coworkers is very into food and he’s been so into Oinkster’s burger week this week.

In honor of him and Oinkster… I bring to you

“Sean’s Fancy Burger”

It looked exactly like this and tasted like heaven.

The Bird and the Fish

Somewhere being obsessed with the ocean and watching a lot of movies… I made this little doodle:

a bird may love a fish, but where would they live?

I can actually say I have felt like a bird that fell in love with a fish at some point in my life. And well, we never figured it out.. so I fly, and he swims and we don’t ever ever cross paths.

I don’t know if it ever could have worked. And I guess since the sky is full of opportunities there is no real reason to think about it.

But I’d like to imagine the fish and the bird in the doodle can totally figure it out. Don’t you?

And where does this phrase come from? Does it show up in more than “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Ever After”?

Introduction to Summer

I know that it’s supposed to be summer… but all I’m seeing is grey skies and sprinkles.

And even though this weekend was supposed to be all BBQ’s and throwing frisbees… I swear most of my weekend was delicious soups, comfy sweaters, and blankets with corresponding movies.

And it was glorious.

Now… don’t get me wrong I’m not so into the grey that I don’t want the sun.

In fact, I really want sun!

I just want to be out in the sun with a delicious treat!

Happy Summer Everyone!

Happy Mothers Day!

I hope everyone out there took a minute or 2 to think about how great mom’s are.

And here’s a little doodle to go along with that sentiment!

Happy Sunday to everyone, boy do I wish the weekend was longer.

Afternoon Protein

My brain is so full of tile sizes and weird specifications that I couldn’t think of anything to draw today…

And then when I briefly emerged from my brain fog at lunch I heard this, and gave it a quick sketch

Thanks Lindsay for giving my something to draw!

Business Lunch

Happy Tuesday everyone!
I’m in the middle of a deadline and well in my new office no one really talks.

Which is good and bad.

Bad: I have to take extra time to find things out because everyone is too busy to ask…

Good: I have a lot of time to doodle… because everyone is too busy even to lunch!

Well one thing is I can say everyone seems very nice, especially on Fridays when they get to have lunch away from their desks :)

Tony’s Birthday 2015

Yesterday was my brothers birthday… but I didn’t post because I try to stay away from the internet on the weekends.

Because boy am I on the computer all week long!

But it was a very happy day and even though he’s all the way up in Alaska, I hope it was just the very best day.

And to celebrate how amazing my brother is and his love of the ever so classic Star Wars I made him this:

And then I thought if you were a Han Solo kind of guy you need a sidekick. And the only sidekick a person can have in Alaska is a Moose.

And then I had to stop because I could make a whole saga about a rogue surveyor and his weird moose friend.

Happy Birthday!

Also sorry my Star Wars writing is not up to par.
