And I hope you have great hopes for the new year… Personally, I think my resolution this year is to try to follow through on things a lot better, and be thankful that my life has gone in the direction that it has. 2014 was definitely different and more of an adventure than I have had in years.
Thanks for everyone who made this last year wonderful… lets make 2015 even better
♥Lauren
p.s. be more prepared to get more hilarious anecdotes from my new job… working in a big place makes for interesting characters.
I have never really feared aging… maybe because I feel happy about pretty much everyday.
And apparently everyone at work thought I turned 23… so super bonus?
I got treated very kindly by my new coworkers and friends and…. really just had a great time.
I usually use this post to reflect on the last 12 months and set a few new goals… which I will happily do if you continue to read on
Things I learned at 28:
♥ That I’m not all together that weird. I was made to think that most people aren’t terribly creative or prone to fantasy over the years… and I have met a few people this year that have shown me that this is not the case. And that it’s okay to be any which way you are.
♥That sometimes a change will do you good. I may not have chosen all the changes that have happened this year… but all in all they have been the best things that have happened to me! Woot woot– higher quality of life–
♥That I’m a good worker. The first time I was ever eligible for a review and it… went really well.
♥ That giving people a chance can be a great thing and lead to great relationships… it can also get you stalked. Both have happened this year.
♥That engineers are very awkward… but also so, so adorable.
♥That it’s okay to be a little more on the flashy side of life.
♥That sometimes space away from certain people, is what you need more than anything. Because they are making you stall in the things you want to get done.
Not anymore!
♥Some times nothing beats good friends, and cheesecake.
♥That you will do so many things for people who are important to you… including getting lost in the Hollywood Hills. And it’s nice to get to do those things
♥ And that Paul McCartney can still really perform.
Things I will do this year:
♥Start a business that involves my art for real this time. I have seen so many people who do this, at my new job… and I want to be more like them!
♥Participate in all the things I can. Except for really boring stuff, that I still won’t do
♥Create the costume my doodle is wearing for Halloween. It comes from this music video which is one of my favorites:
I want to be dressed like this dreamy 22nd century rooster
♥Go to Spain, I have the money to have a very nice vacation… and that will never be enough money to buy a house in California.
And with that I thank you for reading this and looking at my silly doodles. Here’s to a super wonderful year.
It’s my desk buddies birthday… so today was a wonderful celebration of her that included a desk decorated in “Under the Sea” paraphernalia and with lots of pie.
And although work is well… sometimes hard to get through. Elisa makes it a blast for all the hours we are there together. We giggle, walk to 7-11 for slurpees, talk about our weird fascinating lives and wait in long lines for well her to get coffee. And she totally enjoys laughing at me when I turn bright red talking to the cute guy from the office down the hall.
And it’s all amazing. So amazing that my boss is moving me… to Siberia. In hopes that I won’t talk to anyone.
Well until then, we shall party and giggle and get our work done!
This was Elisa’s Halloween costume this year. She really has it together for being 28 :)
Happy Birthday Elisa I hope you have a wonderful year!
