There is someone in Hollywood that hates me.

And the worst thing is I have never done anything to actually deserve it… this time.

My dear friend Caitlin (my worm loving amigo) has informed me of television blasphemy. A recreation of “10 things I hate about you”, as a TV show staring a forgettable and regrettable cast, which you can see on imdb.

To Quote Chastity: I know you can be overwhelmed, and you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?

I have a feeling this show is going to leave me whelmed. Not every thing in Hollywood should be recycled. Especially not one that had a solid cast and a witty and satirical view on teen motives and emotion. I also have a feeling in the show there will be no Letters to Cleo, or KD Lang references, as teens nowadays have no clue who they are… it’s okay though, they shouldn’t have to. BUT if there is a poster of My Chemical Romance on Kat’s wall… I have a feeling I shall perish.

And yes I know it was based loosely on The Taming of the Shrew. That doesn’t make this new adaptation hurt any less. For more explanations on my feelings read this.

And now that I have expressed my heartache, I have the following questions:

Where is Alison Janney and her coffee cup featuring a cat-Kat?

Shall Mr. Stratford know the 411 of how kid’s get jiggy?

Will Patrick still be accused of sleeping with a spice girl?

Oh and better yet, will Kat ever get to experience that trip to 7-11 on Broadway with Patrick?

 

Oh and to Jimmy the name of Kat’s BFF who is obsessed with William Shakespeare is Mandella, and she is incandescent.

And so I leave you with this thought:

Mandella: Have you seen him?
Kat Stratford: Who?
Mandella: William. He asked me to meet him here.
Kat Stratford: Oh Mandella, please tell me you haven’t progressed to full-on hallucinations.

p.s. let’s not talk about the remake of “Adventures in Babysitting” with Raven Simone and Miley Cyrus
