it’s totally my cat
Every morning like every other cat owner I get to marvel at the mystical scratches that I received in my sleep.
My dear friend, Elliott the cat is very fond of the “Lauren attack”… this is where he runs up to me throws a gang sign or two and then scratches me as he runs away.
This is like his most favorite game ever, and now it happens when I am awake too.

Like Elliott, who cannot talk. But if he could he’s sound like a pirate:

Today’s storytime adventure involves another true story.
This story takes place in a little beige house with white trim. In this house resides a family, a family with 3 lovely pets.
As you can tell this is probably my house, and those are probably my pets that I am talking about.
Specifically, tt’s about Elliott, the cat.
To my cat there is nothing more relaxing than recreational decorating. He enjoys stealing weird bits of string, paper, paperclips, twisty ties, and unused popsicle sticks (from a failed art project) to scatter all about his kitty tube.
When you clean up the area he goes back out to the world to recollect these bits, or similar friends of theirs. I think he is inspired to do this because he knows that I work with architecture.
I think if he had an architectural style it would be deconstructionist.

Sometimes I find my cat staring out the window in a manner reminiscent to that of a young Ariel wishing she were part of the human world.
Also, I have a way over active imagination.
That is how I came up with this conclusion:

Robert Downey Jr. is adored by nations, ladies everywhere, and my cat.
Elliott could not get enough of my manly bag of popcorn. Elliott usually wants nothing to do with popcorn.
But with the addition of RDJ he was all over it…
So I have deduced that my cat is all about Robert Downey Jr.

Elliott was once the tiniest of mittens, and now he’s a big bootie kitten.
Here he is as a baby kitten… in a very fine sweater vest:

He is almost 15 pounds and isn’t full size. I assume he’s going to be roughly this size at his full growth:
And Although I named him after Elliott Reid:
he reminds me more of farmer Ted aka Anthony Michael Hall:
There is a striking resemblance… except my cat is not friends with John Cusak.
