Okay, so usually I am not a fan of the ad’s that pop up in my facebook. Because I don’t need things like wedding monopoly or who I could make a baby with.
But today on this glorious Friday, I logged onto facebook and saw this:

My reaction was… I do love Jake Ryan! And I did just watch “Sixteen Candles” last night in a delirious heat stupor! And while watching it I said… “Damn, I never get tired of seeing him in that sweater vest…”
But, nah… I don’t really want a shirt.
I’ll be making some doodles now.

The Childhood
You’ve got me feeling emotions
Seriously this is the best thing I’ve seen online in a while. The worst thing is that we know at one point we’ve all done this:
Seriously, I know I have. And no lie it was to Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman.”
Thanks to the Best Week Ever for showing me this!

“Don’t you want me”
I am so ready to see “Take Me Home Tonight.”
This week I already watched “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton,” and had fond memories of when Arlene and I feigned her straightness with pictures of Josh Duhamel’s Tad Hamilton. Also I just remembered I’m never watching “In Good Company” again, that was lame…
Ahhh memories.
Okay, back to the story at hand. See this music video for the movie take me home tonight… it’s full of 1980s movie reference gems.
Enjoy it, I still can’t decide if my fav. Michael J. Fox reference is Teen wolf or Marty McFly??
West End Riot
I am so happy that Youtube sometimes links me to things I like…
I remember being in love with The Living End in middle school!
I used to listen to this cd like mad on my walkman.
Go Enjoy them:
You may remember them for this song though:

I wonder how many eggs it ate as a child?
Today I combine 86% of my interests (Gaston, architecture and photoshop) and give you this beautiful and poignant architectural criticism.

Thank you Soma Architects for making that thing hairy!
Seriously.

Suggestions to Bluto
Okay this weekend I saw Popeye at this place called Oinksters in Eagle Rock.(btw delicious food)
I was really perplexed by the obsession of Bluto had for Olive Oyl being as:
1. She was totally into Popeye.

2. She looked like this:

And I was thinking there are so many other cartoon girls out there Bluto… and some of them look like this:

And all she has in her cartoons are a creepy wolf, and Sr. Droopy. I’m sure she’d totally dig you.
I am like #6 greatest matchmaker ever!

Starbright: Christine as Jem
I decided to draw one of my favorite people as one of my favorite cartoons. Without drawing one of my friends as Spongebob, I give you Christine as Jem.
Who as you remember is truly outrageous:

If I made a cartoon like Daria, this would be one of her alter-egos.

Meet Me in Outer Space…
I was watching the Discovery Channels documentary on the universe. Which I found really interesting, because spacey things are interesting. And I realized that unlike many other children, I’ve never dreamed of being an astronaut.
But, I’ve always liked futuristic things.
Like the house of the future:

This Incubus song:
This Battlestar Galactica:

This futuristic family:

Buckminster Fuller:

Life on Mars:

But I discovered the real reason I’m not currently floating in the cosmos:

Totally Lame.
