Today’s doodle/story needs only but a brief description.
I was thinking about what it would be like to be dressed like a crustacean. Not for Halloween, or for anything fancy… just an average day dressed like an aquatic friend. So I drew this:

And then I realized its also funny because I am short as heck. Bask with me in my shortness.
The end.

Today’s Story time with Lauren is about Elliott the cat:
Sometimes I see my cat staring at birds. He stares at them in a way where you can tell he wants to eat their faces.
But it’s cute, because he is an indoor cat and has no chance of ever catching birds.
And if he did he may pass out from excitement.
If we lived in the Twilight Zone he would wake up to find he was a bird all along:

Jimmy has already made me go see halloween decorations.
And since it is still August, and this is completely logical. I begin this Halloween season with things that Jimmy should dress as:
1. A goat herder

2. A goat

3. Allspice

4. Waldo… of “where is waldo”fame

5. Alex Trebek

6. A mountie of protecting Canada fame

7. Regis Philbin

8. Toast

9. Bert from Mary Poppins

10. Or my personal fav. Kenneth the NBC page.

Did you notice this wasn’t really helpful at all?
Yep. My job is complete.

I can’t stop listening to “Ask” from the Smiths.
Yeah, I know it’s 2010. But there is something about “buck tooth girl” lyrics that drives me wild.

Today’s storytime adventure involves another true story.
This story takes place in a little beige house with white trim. In this house resides a family, a family with 3 lovely pets.
As you can tell this is probably my house, and those are probably my pets that I am talking about.
Specifically, tt’s about Elliott, the cat.
To my cat there is nothing more relaxing than recreational decorating. He enjoys stealing weird bits of string, paper, paperclips, twisty ties, and unused popsicle sticks (from a failed art project) to scatter all about his kitty tube.
When you clean up the area he goes back out to the world to recollect these bits, or similar friends of theirs. I think he is inspired to do this because he knows that I work with architecture.
I think if he had an architectural style it would be deconstructionist.

Do you think a cupcake would describe itself as cakey?

Do you ever wonder who some products are made for…I mean there is some weird ass stuff out there.
I always wonder am I their audience? Should I buy that portable rotisserie???
Well Let me pitch you an idea of my own:
Have you ever been in a situation where you have grown tired of the look of eggs?
Have you ever said well I eat 5 dozen eggs a day and I am so tired of their boring oval-y shape?
Well Complain no more…
Now you can square your eggs! With the EGG CUBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now our intended audience can have square eggs!
Who is our inteded audience you may ask?

In an alternate universe Jimmy does not like art, or postcards, or architecture.
Somewhere out there that opposite Jimmy is playing a sport… like football:
