And this week I heard the best news I have heard in a long time. My friend the astonishing, marvelous, and phenomenal-on-her-way-to-becoming-a-doctor, Isabel is ENGAGED! And she’s getting married to David, who is equally as wonderful as her (it’s a really hard contest to enter though. I mean, I could write adjectives about Isabel’s awesomeness until I pass out from giggling).
Just in case for some of the readers who need a reminder of David…remember him as my captive studio audience? Well now that Isabel and David are going to be a unified front, I will have 2 people in my designated audience! That for all you math wizards is double. I have double the fans now:
So basically the day they get married is going to be one of the best days of the year besides Leif Erikson Day and the Isabel Stare-a-thon. I really hope they get married during Nov. 2oth to December 20th as that is the time I have made up a month-long holiday about Isabel. It’s basically begging to have your wedding betwixt it!
So finally, and simply… Congratulations. I hope you have so many years of incredible joy and the most fun two people have ever had in the history of people having fun! Remember everyday can be the best day you’ve ever had.
My cat is being nice. Uncharacteristically so, as Elliott is the rudest cat in existence.
Usually I’m almost always at home, and he ignores me unless its time to feed him kitty crunchies. I give him attentions when he demands it (which was only about 2x a week), and then I ignore him the rest of the time. We try to live like civil roommates if you could imagine.
However, lately I have hung up my Amish shroud, and have been going out… and Elliott’s demeanor changed. Now when I get home he wants all my attention… ALL OF IT! He now greets me at the door, and cordially invites me into my house. Walks me to my room. Cries, when I close him out of the door. Now, I cannot sit and eat without him trying to crawl on my lap. I cannot go online without him sitting on my computer. I cannot sleep without him staring with his face next to my face.
Most people would say, awww he loves you! But no, I don’t assume that he’s discovered that I am the best owner, I mean free room and board and poo removal for simply being fluffy (that is a good deal)… Or that he realizes that he could have been an alley cat, with no one to give him fish shaped crunchies, and rub his belly. I think he may be actually plotting against me, like planning on hiring a hitman to keep me from going out, or trying to see how he can make me fall down the stairs and make it look like an accident.
I’m very suspicious of him… so if anything accident like happens to me… I think it was Mr. Kitty.
Today I found out possibly one of the best things ever. It is Best Friends Day!
A special day created just to celebrate the awesomeness of your bestie! Now, I am a lucky girl because I have tons of super best friends… and well some so-so acquaintances (but today isn’t about them!) … and TWO fantastic best friends!
And since today is about the creme de la creme of friendship, I would like to thank them for participating in 11 years of good times with me.
This has included (but is not limited to) countless trips to Disneyland, sitting in the big booth at BJ’s, weeks straight of giggling (cumulative), being banned from DJ Pizza Lunches, creepy/weird teachers, concerts that were awesome, being attacked by kittens while sleeping, 4 years of Catholic school uniforms, taking photos with strangers, watching the entire first season of Jem to see 1 scene, buying promise headbands, and One scary movie night (which is not necessarily the night that we watched ‘Centerstage” after grad-night.)
Without you two my three-ring circus would just be one ringed, I would be the lone musketeer, the last of the blind mice, that one really bored Bronte sister.
Weird and wonderful things come in three’s, don’t they?
