Settling is for Pioneers

When people tell me their goals, plans, and dreams I get so excited… I root for them in secrecy. I am like a “Bring It On” cheer squad in my imagination for other people. I want to believe that if someone believes in you, you can do anything. And then it happens…somewhere down the road they tell me they are just not going to obtain that goal… so they are just going to file it away in a file cabinet of broken dreams.

There is something about that moment when someone else gives up on a dream that makes me really bummed. I want to shake them, and tell them all sorts of sayings about never giving up on anything you really want. Like Kirsten Dunst, when she tells that girl that the cheer team may not be gymnastics but the glory of cheer-leading is worth it. And because in my small view of the world, I think that giving up on things that could cause you incredible joy is what makes people bitter and sad down the road. And maybe, just maybe you will become a rodeo star, or make that piece of art, or save up the money for that thing you desperately want. If you do… there may be no one happier than me to see you get it.

I’m beginning to understand that this is my problem. Sometimes people evaluate what’s important in their lives and maybe the goal is on a completely different level than where they want to end up. And you know what, that is okay. But what I want to stress, I suppose is to make sure it’s because you that chose to shut that down that dream/goal, and not because someone else in your life is telling you that you can’t/shouldn’t obtain your goals. No one else should make you feel guilty for having dreams. I think I got a little specific there. And I just want to say I’m not really great with motivation (I’m no Kirsten Dunst here), but no one wants to be on the Oregon Trail with minimal oxen and malaria… if you know what I mean.

Keep your dreams alive.

Glee: the Fashion Club

It is incredibly obvious that I like “glee.”

Which has lured me with it’s “Bring it On” meets “Miss Guided” meets “Grease” plot…

Not just because the whole office is still singing “Single Ladies” or because I have been listening to Montell Jordan “This is How we do it” on repeat.

Nor is it because I want a button that says “gleek”

But because I cannot get enough of OCD(elicious) Emma Pillsbury played by the adorable Jayma Mays…

She’s the most adorable guidance counselor since… well, “Miss Guided’s” Ms. Perky… she is also in love with the Spanish teacher/Glee Coach Will.

hmm the parallels :)

But I digress

She really does.

And I adore her Mod-Preppy Chic-ness. It’s very “That Girl”.

She wears pretty much every color…

And she wears it well:

Green!

Purple!

Brown!

Yellow!

Her preppy adorable-ness makes her one of the hippest teachers at this Ohio High school. I could just imagine the immaculate closet of rainbow colors she must have! I wonder how many sweaters she owns????

and her lonely sweater is J-crew tastic…

I must also make this comment about her wicked cute accessories:

She may as well start her own Fashion Club… watch out Will:

But I know some people object to her cuteness due to her ulterior Will motives…So although she may have ♥’s for a married man most people can agree:

also…

Anyone want to go shopping for some cute clothes???

I love your pom pom’s

I’m anticipating my copy of “Bring it On”

It may be this summer’s “Sixteen Candles.” Because I’m going to watch it everytime I want to watch TV and there are no music videos on… which is like 96% of the time.

Does anyone else remember Jesse Bradford??? He’s awesome

Brrr it’s cold in here

There must be some Torros in the atmosphere.

I finally broke down and purcahsed ‘Bring it On’ online. Because I realize no retail store carries it.

I hae gone to several stores including Best Buy which told me ‘we don’t usually carry movies that old’ and ‘we have a newer version with Hayden Patinerre…’ EWWW… I had to tell several clerks I want the real version with the spirit stick, Big Red… and most importantly real actors… like Kirsten Dunst, and Jesse  Bradford.

And I didn’t want the $34 version with every crappy remake in it. For the love of Cake why is there 4 more of them????!!!!????!!!! And more importantly who watched them?????

In 2-3 days all my dreams will be alive.

Go Rancho Carne Torros… so meaty!

So Happy Together

So how is the Weather?

In the Happiness Forecast of Isabel and Clay I would say it’s pretty awesome. They are so enamored by their own good times they have not a moment to think about Eric and the ladies.

Mr. Aiken and Isabel were spotted having a romantic and heavily fruited meal near the Eiffel Tower. Isabel was reported to have said after her meal, “I love this moment so much I would cheat on that other moment from before, marry this one and raise a family of tiny, little moments.”

Damn that’s happy. Eric I do believe Isabel has brought it… and all “Walking on Sunshine Style.”
