Polite snacking

Today I was just thinking about my cat Elliott.

He’s a weird little guy.

And I felt kinda bad leaving him for like half of October, while I went and saw the world. When I got home he was so happy.

And of course… I don’t think he really missed me, just you know he missed my ability to feed him:

Drawing Challenge Day #17

I have been such a mess as of late that I haven’t had the chance to post my drawing postie from yesterday.

So… the prompt was to draw a fairy tale character.

And i was sitting with a blanket on watching dvr’d Agnet Carter episodes from this week and I was like hmm what should I draw.

And then Elliott jumped on me, and I was like… I got this!

And so I drew possibly the worst fairy of all time:

Imagine if cats granted magical wishes…? I think the whole world would be cat crunches and string

Drawing challenge #15

image

Today’s drawing challenge was to draw an infamous villain.
But I was having a really hard time thinking of a villain. The first villain I ever think of is the Shadow Man on the stranger danger sign. And according to me if you’re weird and creepy that is exactly how you should look.
But I didn’t want to draw something so creepy.
And them I remembered good old fashion comic books and so I went with a favorite villain… Catwoman. And not just any Catwoman, the super glamorous and incredibly gorgeous Julie Newmar.
And what is duplicity is she up to??? Turning little kitties to the dark side. And I know Elliott would become evil… if she fed him crunchy food.
So I should feed him before he tries to take over Gotham.

Happy Birthday America

Wait…

I had enough time to draw 2 things this week

#ALLMYDREAMSARECOMINGTRUE

This one was inspired by the fact that anytime we hang a flag Elliott thinks it’s his duty to attack it.

He has been staring at the American Flag all afternoon.

And he really looks confident this year.

Elliott needs a job!

So sometimes I imagine that my cat wants to do more than just sleep on my blanket…

I think he needs a job.

And I think I may have found one for him:

I think I could be a great tightrope walker… if only I had the balance.

Cat Mirror

I’ve been seeing a lot of mirrors lately. Mostly because all I’ve been working on for days is new fitting room prototypes.

Angled. Wall mounted. Suspended.  Oversized. Displayed with a side of granite.
I’m basically becoming the Bubba Gump of mirrors.
But no one so far at work has suggested this one:

It’s official my brain needs this long weekend.

Monday Mermaid!

I’ve been on a cat doodling frenzy.

And since I get to see my cat for very few hours during the week. I think about what he’s doing. But with my imagination it’s always more extreme than the truth… he’s asleep somewhere.

So today during my work break time I made this little friend:

This little mer-cat went to market

Also, this is how long it took for my new coworkers to find out that I illustrate. I in turn got a request, and I made a coworker a trophy doodle for having a very clean desk… and now that the doodle is on her desk, I think I may have ruined her record.

Any ways I hope everyone had a good mother’s day weekend. Whether you are an actual mother, have had a mother, or mother a few little pets.

Here’s to a good week.

Cat in a Window

I haven’t posted in a very long time.

I suppose its somewhere between being too busy to even check an email… But it’s for good reasons I promise.

Today I send a simple doodle with a simple start of the week wish:

I hope that all of you are as happy as a cat in the warmest sunniest window this week.
