Friday is Wonderous!

Okay, so I never get the chance to post on here.

I’m like living the life of a doodle-less spinster… and I’m not into it.

So I have been trying to get into writing again. And I can’t even think about what I want to share… Does anyone want to know about me spilling all my ice cream all over me and my coworkers car like a small child?  How about falling so quickly out of like with someone that my head feels like its spinning round like a record? Or that when I was threatening one of my coworkers during lunch I started laughing so hard I snorted in front of 3 of the jerkiest people on this planet?

But that is no excuse. I love making posts, that is why I’ve been doing it so long. It just seems like so many other things are pre-occupying my time…

Like British television shows, trying to figure out why my hair refuses to look like I combed it, and the mystery of what ants are doing in the restroom at work…

And then there is all the things I would rather be doing. For example, in Sunny So-Cal there is this thing called Comic-Con happening. And I as you know am a fantastic nerd, and this place has Bruce Timm, Marvel, DC, Sherlock, Community and basically so many comic’s and artist’s I could die on cloud nine while strolling through it’s aisles. Fun Fact: I am notoriously good at strolling. Also, a bonus to that is I can stroll ever so happily because I have a horrid sense of smell and do not mind the smell of comic collectors, who are not always big fans of hygiene.

But I am not there right now.

I am at work.

I mean, I know I’m getting paid. But I’m thinking of the thrill of dressing up like a super hero for no reason, and eating pizza near the ocean, while collecting so many buttons about obscure comics and British television that I could coat my bed spread in them seems so alluring. I am allured by nerdiness.

So I made this doodle today on my computer while waiting for my prints to come. (I am not sorry for that printing pun.)

I’m just going to sit back, smile… and day dream about being dressed like Wonder Woman.

Have a super great weekend everybody. Dress like a superhero if you need to… I think I will tomorrow.

P to the S: If you went to Comic-Con tell me about it… so I can live vicariously through you :)

Halloween Greetings

Happy Halloween everybody!

I am a usual merrymaker so I of course love a holiday where I can dress like a superhero and eat candy until I pass out.  Also I’m a big dork who still likes to dress up and pile her hair until I feel like I can rival the natural glow of a young brunette Dolly Parton. Earlier in the Halloween season I went around with my good friend Nancy and we dressed up as everyday people:

Here we are dressed as Pinup Wonder Woman and the World’s sexiest Fire Fighter. Our everyday heroes.

Tonight I find myself dressed like the world’s shortest amazon, yep I finally had no excuse to reveal my real identity of Wonder Woman. Not a surprise to my readers as I already shared earlier this year that my work has practically made me a Wonder Woman.

And since I went out on Friday and Saturday, let’s just be honest… I am a little too lazy to go out on a Wednesday. Especially because one of these days… I’m going to get to work on time. So I got to have the joy of passing out candy to tiny children dressed like a rainbow of princesses and a myriad of video game/cartoon characters. They were adorable, and yes I was judging children on their manners.  I was thrilled when a this one Red Riding Hood told me to “have a lovely holiday.” I was quite taken with her, she was top on the list of what I hope my children do someday in the future, you know when I get around to baby-ing. And quite candidly I was totally shocked by a little boy who was dressed like Woody from Toy Story wanted to give up his life with his parents and move in with me. Frankly, I have a feeling his parents need to worry about how much he liked a girl in red lipstick and big hair giving him candy. He just walked into my house like he belonged there, his mother said “I think you have a friend.” And I nearly took him to watch the episode of 30 rock that was rolling on my tv. I mean I was running out of time for all this trick or treating stuff…. Tina Fey was all up on my television being fey-licious.

And oh yes, let’s get to the doodle. Now that we discussed the reverse kidnapping, and future child manners that happened earlier tonight…

Remember if you get into any sexy mishaps… we’re there on the double to rescue you from dangerous sexy things. That is quite possibly the worst slogan ever.

I hope that you find yourself out in the world tonight having fun and enjoying the holiday of mischief and merrymaking. But don’t stop tonight… tomorrow looks great for mischief too.

Having a “Wonder”ful day at work

Work has been really quite busy as of late.

My boss thinks I know enough stuff to manage my own projects which is very different from the view of architecture I usually have… which is in essence draw and print.

I have in the last few weeks been learning the differences and backing capabilities of carpet…  experiencing meetings about wall hung toilets and drain pipes, answering engineers questions, measuring trelli (that is my plural of trellis, because I’m not a fan of the word trellises).

Also today I had to tell a client that we’re running late on his new project because he keeps making changes to his old projects. In essence he back-burner-ed himself.

As you can tell, I’m basically experiencing the most exciting thing architecture really has to offer you… which is work.

However all this work has seriously made me want to make changes to my business cards:

On my break today I will be making a cuffs and a crown…
