You may see her shirtless and sometimes pantless action… but is Lady Gaga hiding something?

No I’m not talking about the people who says she’s a Mister Gaga… I’m talking about her fashion inspirations….

Is she hiding the fact that her “look” & fashion come from the hit cartoon Jem & the Holograms?

I think Lady G looks a lot like Jem/Jerrica… you can note the similarities yourself….

Do you remember that Jem’s theme song promises you “Adventure… excitement… Glamour and glitter, Fashion and fame!” Doesn’t that sound like Lady Gaga’s game?

Jem thinks this is truly outrageous…
If you are an 80’s child you remember the wild fashions that happened on this more than rad cartoon. The makeup, the hair, the uneccessary drama, the boyfriend who is in love with the same girl more than once. This sounds eerily identical to the happenings of Lady Gaga.

But I really don’t mind….. because Lady Gaga is fabulous without holograms… and if there were a movie about Jem (that wasn’t Hanna Montana) I think Lady Gaga should star in it.

Monday’s Elvis: Elvis Costello

Let’s talk about

I cannot stop listening to Elvis Costello.

I don’t think this is a major suprise as I listen to Bowie, Toto, and Men at work in my regular rotation….actually sometimes I like to pretend that it is years or even decades ago with my music…but i digress

I even stayed up last night to watch a concert he did in 2007 on VH1… even though I’ve already seen it. But it was amazing, and so worth my groggy morning..

There is something about him that always makes me smile. I adore his humor, and his lyrics… all in all he’s adorable. And not only is his music great, but he does awesome covers…. like “Suspicious Minds” “My Funny Valentine” and “Beautiful”.

The internet is abuzz with Mek Wok Kundor, the 107 year-young lady from Malaysia with the hankering in her heart to ascertain her 23rd husband.

She believes her 37 year old husband may leave her for someone younger… watch out 107 year old lady in China (who want to wed for the first time)

Well here at Viciously Sweet we may have just found her 23rd love connection.

And after the incident with Trannies, Eric is back to his route as a womanizer… or in this case and old womanizer…

I really love emotional moments in TV and movies…

One of my favorite moments from tv happened many years ago on a show called “Felicity”… it was this classic dramatic moment when Noel locked himself in his dorm closed the curtains and listens to “everybody hurts by REM” after a failed attempt at a relationship with Felicity

(since the show is so old there are no clips of this online :(…. )

But I digress, I think that glee is trying to steal away my affections of lonely noel with this more than depressing clip.

I’m sorry Noel… but Emma Pillsbury may win.

Grandparents… the Holiday

Today is Grandparents Day.. that Day where you celebrate the keen awesomeness of your ancestry.

Well here at viciously sweet we certainly do adore our elderly (there have been over 50 posts of Eric this year!) so find an elder your grandparents (or not) and show them a day on the town!
