The Most Professional Day of the Year

Today there will be no professional quote. There is another type of professional celebration happening.

29 luscious years ago, the world was given the most professional gift, a little baby that would soon become… PROFESSIONAL ERIC. Since then Eric has created numerous excel spread sheets, vector lines and inspired some very awesome Professional artwork.
Today he is spreading professional joy to the world, with his #1 lady friend:

Today create an Excel Spread Sheet in his honor.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC.

Dear Gerard Butler

I am a very girly girl. I like girly romantic comedies, and I also like to watch movies where butts are being kicked all over the place (and possibly in your face, thanks 3D.)
I will admit, these are two very different kinds of films. Sometimes actors mingle at the border of these two genres and boggle my mind.
Sometimes it works out well… and then sometimes, there is Gerard Butler…

Against all of my brain logic I decided to watch “The Ugly Truth” (even though I don’t really like Katherine Heigl) and yes … I wanted to stab my brain until the only thing I could remember was where I live and how much I like 30 Rock. I secretly kept watching hoping that it will get better, and would change my perspective on Katherine Heigl. It didn’t.
Then I started hoping it would turn a little more 300 and Mr. Butler would cut of Katherine Heigl’s head and set the rest of her on fire. But yet again this wish was not granted, and then I wished I had watched nothing at all. Not anything.

As a person who likes Gerard Butler kicking butts and toting weapons, and not being in the Phantom of the Opera, I implore you to read my doodle:

I mean seriously, Josh Duhamel needs some work too.

My apologies to Mark Twain, and one of my best ideas of this week.

Last night, after a rousing trip to Ikea with the incredibly overworked Nancy, I set in for a long summers nap (aka sleep.) But could not really sleep so I watched one of my newer favorite-teen-movies-staring-really-old-actors, “Easy A”…
You know with that adorable as hell Emma Stone.

(btw, I would so wear that)

And that guy I never found attractive until I watched this movie:

And what he is also Woodchuck mascot? Sign me up please… don’t worry he’s probably 30.
Oh wow, nope he’s 24.

I have decided that the world now could truly accept the bounty of a teen movie created by my friends and me. Seriously wouldn’t you love to watch a movie about…

a weird and incredibly clumsy artsy girl:

a weird yet adorable scientific girl:

a teen who was far too intellectual for High School:

a pseudo goth, and a… well a… girl who hated life, while simultaneously being a… person?

Now imagine their journey while being nerds in a repressed Catholic School with cameos of foreign exchange students, Canadians, never-ending spanish classes, Religion classes from hell, awful snobby classmates (who applied makeup like Elizabethan whores), and the most incredibly creepy teacher who has ever existed!

Hours of entertainment, am I right?
Plus, school days off because of a fire? This stuff practically writes itself.

“Don’t you want me”

I am so ready to see “Take Me Home Tonight.”

This week I already watched “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton,” and had fond memories of when Arlene and I feigned her straightness with pictures of Josh Duhamel’s Tad Hamilton. Also I just remembered I’m never watching “In Good Company” again, that was lame…

Ahhh memories.

Okay, back to the story at hand. See this music video for the movie take me home tonight… it’s full of 1980s movie reference gems.

Enjoy it, I still can’t decide if my fav. Michael J. Fox reference is Teen wolf or Marty McFly??

Cubicle Tour 2011!

I need a break, and this should take about 15 minutes. I am sitting about work kind of mentally numb, and I just had a brilliant idea!

I think I should have an open house of my cubicle for the internets… So lets start!

Here is my beloved Office Penguin… his name is Mr. Office Penguin, I have taken him all over the city of Los Angeles. He has since become a land locked pirate. Also there is my quote a day 30 Rock calender brought to me from New York, and wrestled out of the hands of an NBC Page (or maybe just purchased at the NBC experience store):

Here is an upclose of my shot glass collection. It holds Elliott Pierre the monkey (which I believe originates as a gift from Christine), and the x-acto blade I try not to injure myself with:

Now let’s have a look at my view, beyond the clouds is… the Dab:

This is my wall of silliness which every adult should have:

Here is an upclose of a photoshop Eric did of me and a doodle from Ariana (I like when people make me stuff):

Here is the proof I went to school for Architecture, This is a model from my thesis… which found its way in the office and has never left. And of course my diploma… aww the Wood.

Here is a doodle I’m working on:

and here is me, with my favorite artistic medium… le sharpie, yep mine is french… actually I call him Marky Mark:

That is pretty much it I have to get back to work, try to finish this drawing, and listen to the Scissor Sisters… Have a nice weekend.

Basically… All I want is a couch

Today I read on Yahoo one of the best things to do to not get sick is take a nap.
But, at work I gots no place to nap!
I wish we has a little itty bitty…. couch.
It would look great in the office and also be a comfy respite from the cold world of autocad.

All we really need is one couch.... and I already have a snuggie!
