There is no better way to spend a summer day than lounging at the wonderful Disneyland resort.
While everybody else is doing their 9-5, i.e. drawing buildings and selling dip (not pronounced Depp) Isabel and Clay frolic about the most Orange of counties playing about with large whimsical cups.
*Also is Isabel wearing the blue heart jewel from Titanic? I didn’t realize they had gotten to that stage in their relationship.
So for the last few days my imagination has been haywire.
And one of the images I could not get out of my head was Isabel and Clay Aiken dressed like sailors cavorting on a boat in the sea. It has been so stuck in my head I decided I had to put it on paper… or on the internets.
I made this doodle a while ago, and I thought I already posted it…. BUT surprise I didn’t!
It’s what I imagined what the Vicious Crew would look like if we were hung in a lodge…
Just in case you need a bit of help figuring what animal is which…
Top row: Isabel as you can see is depicted as some sort of Elk like creature, which is real nice. I’m the second one in and I have always desired to be a jackalope so call me Lopey, and finishing out the top row Christine makes a fine unicorn with a charming pink horn.
Bottom Row: Eric thinking about a lodge stated he wanted to be a tiger, so there he is as a manly lodge residing tiger. I have always assumed Jimmy would be a moose kind of animal because he is super tall. And, Of course Miss Tangy is a very enticing antelope.
Answer: To me it may just be, I almost failed a film class when I said it was my favorite film. Because the teacher looked at me and said she’d assume I liked Adam Sandler films. Although it was more than a diss on her part, I do like Adam Sandler and took this as a compliment.
Also it may be the best film because of classic moments like this:
and finally,
2. Mr Belvedere. He’s always made me wish I had a curmudgeonly servant with a British accent. And…eww did anyone really like Kevin Owens?
3. Will I photobooth with Christine when we celebrate her and Isabel’s birthday? And does Isabel approve of us celebrating her birthday if she’s in San Diego? And when is a great time to go harrass Isabel in this San Diego?
4. This song. Because it’s not to late for “that”. And boy do I love non-specifics.
5. Why is it so cold and not raining? I was outside today and there was wind like a monsoon was upon me and then…… nothing.
Seriously thanks weather men. I could be wearing much cuter shoes!!!
6. Did my cat do something super heinous and bad today? In other news does anyone want a slightly used cat? He’s beige and has a bowtie for fancy occasions.
7. Why don’t I get glamour naps at work?
8. Is my niece like the cutest thing? I adore her absolute blondeness!
9. Will I ever make another marathon of Eric and the ladies? Will this upset Eric?
Answer: YES and YES!
10. Why doesn’t Starbucks advertise like this? I mean seriously Jason Sudeikis looks real good, and he’s drinking a Starbucks beverage.
On a sad note this is him as Floyd DeBarber… getting married to some yoga weirdo.
I’m a lucky girl because today is the communal birthday of two of the best people ever!!!
Happy Birthday Isabel & Christine!
I forget which one of you is older so I shall post both birthday wishes for both of you at once. With a slight birthday forecast:
Christine’s 25 birthday celebration will begin in Pasadena in the crisp cool morning, in the afternoon there is a 74% chance of it involving soda and dip mix. It will end with a drunken affair with her truest and most Canadian celebrity love….Dave Foley:
Isabel’s 25th birthday will involve sciency things as well as dodging a kitten. She will find herself in the afternoon searching for the perfect suit and scarf combination and will end her evening like this:
This weekend I did a lot of things… including go to a supermarket dressed in a manner too nice to be at a supermarket in. I ascertained this thought as the throngs of sweatpanted people flocked past me with looks of disdain.
At least the cashier appreciated my orange sundress, tiled necklace and casual brown heels.
I also think that whilst at the market I may have reminded people of Diane Lane in Must Love Dogs because all I bought was chicken, and a can of dog food.
I didn’t even have the John Cusack that makes buying chicken better:
Maybe someday he’ll carry my dog’s food. Or maybe I’d just settle to watch “Hot Tub Time Machine”.
I also helped someone totally thesis it up on Sunday. And I hope she does really well.
As a bonus to the whole weekend I received a hilarious voicemail from Jimmy that tells me he has a song stuck in his head. A song that is more that worth laughing at…
But then I thought of the song that has been playing in my head since I woke up:
Why are the songs in my head so mildly depressing? And Why is that song in Jimmy’s head at all??
Also It’s Isabel and Christine’s Birthday… time to celebrate!
