I have pressing thoughts…

I’m feeling hyper accomplished because this week I have received like 20 spam comments. That means the internet robots have been loving my site. I mean what is better than that?

I’m really hoping those robots are Conky from Pee Wee’s Playhouse and Johnny 5 of Short Circuit fame… because they are my favorite robots.

Well I digress, this is a doodle that explains what can happen to a Lauren when she is more concerned with her abstract brain thoughts… like her favorite robots. Enjoy:

And seriously, go Conky!

Professional Quote of the Day: September 1st

Happy first Day of September to all of you professional enthusiasts! Today’s quote shows you the peaceful and reflective side of the professional one.

“Everyone being professional” is a synonym for it being super quiet in this office. While the soothing sounds of tapping keyboards are like magic to professionals, for me it can be so much deadlier.Sometimes, when all I hear are the clicking of the mouse and the typing of the keyboard I feel like I could certainly die of boredom:

I hope you are enjoying all the current quietness professional one!

P.S. nice Jim Halpert tie-in right there!

Dream Big Isabel!

So many year ago… when Isabel and I were but children (Okay, teenagers without cars) we used to sit in front of school and talk about music, how to avoid creepy teachers, and our dream cars.

One of the best ideas was to take Isabel’s first car the Mercedes Station Wagon and to transform it into a beautiful monster truck/convertible. Not only would she get the wind whipping through her hair, but she would be at a much higher altitude. This would of course alleviate her from all the possibilities of getting hit in the face with a sticky plastic bag.

Although neither of us have the money to do it yet, I beg Isabel to keep dreaming that this can be her reality someday!

Keep the dream alive!

P.S. I forgot to put the ‘R’ in Danger… you should do that for yourself! :)

Professional Quote of the Day: August 31st

On this the last glorious day of August. I present to you the PQOTD.

Professionals don’t like a single thing to be out of date when it comes to technology. If you really think about it, how would it look to other professionals? This simply could not be tolerated.
Eric will succinctly explain this with the following quote:

Please stand back, he’s gotta sync this like a pro-basketball player.

Professional Quote of the Day: August 30

Today’s Professional Quote of the day is a simile to the natural environment… where fish belong in water, ponies belong in grassy fields, socially awkward teens belong in Hot Topic, and professionals belong in… New York

Look at all his people:

Thanks for the Professional Photo Wiki News!

They are both equal parts glorious, and productive!

Stop! Hammer Time.

If this doodle doesn’t scream I grew up in the 1990s also I am weird, I don’t know what will:

Also here is a picture of my sister with MC Hammer (one of my dearest possessions)… he looks a lot less doodle-y here.

Yep, we’re all weird in my family.

Professional Quote of the Day: August 29th

The Dab totally called me out for not having a Professional Quote of the day on Friday. I am very sorry, as this could hinder the entire world from learning Eric’s vast professional knowledge.

Today is a very special day in the world of the professional because today he starts molding the minds of children, by teaching them straight up technology!
Welcome to the second semester of Professionalism!
And the second time I get to use this image:

Back to the PQOTD!

Since Eric has now decided to double professor it, in addition to being the Most Treasured Professional in the San Gabriel Valley this quote should mean so much more to the people than it did before:

Hey Eric, I get confused all the time. I suppose I should call you more… like when you are in class, or when I’m have a philosophical dilemma at 4 in the A.M.
Thanks for offering!
Lets see his number is… 1(800) Professional ext. Eric

Sometimes Dreams Really Do Come True

We all have trials and tribulations, some bigger than others.

Some that stay with us for our entire life, this doodle shares with you some of the hardships I faced as a child:

And for those who know about how much I like chicken, you can just imagine the heartache. But now that I make my own money, and am an adult, I can eat all the chicken that I need to get by (and, then some.)

For those of you unfamiliar with my love of chicken, here is a great example of my relationship with chicken:

Have a Happy Friday!
♫Lauren

P.S. Also on a side note into my real life… Today my recently engaged sister purchased her wedding dress, and I got my bridesmaid dress. Chicken was had by all!

Also next week there will be so many more professional quotes!
