Monday Mermaid!

I’ve been on a cat doodling frenzy.

And since I get to see my cat for very few hours during the week. I think about what he’s doing. But with my imagination it’s always more extreme than the truth… he’s asleep somewhere.

So today during my work break time I made this little friend:

This little mer-cat went to market

Also, this is how long it took for my new coworkers to find out that I illustrate. I in turn got a request, and I made a coworker a trophy doodle for having a very clean desk… and now that the doodle is on her desk, I think I may have ruined her record.

Any ways I hope everyone had a good mother’s day weekend. Whether you are an actual mother, have had a mother, or mother a few little pets.

Cinco de Mayo

Today on this glorious Cinco de Mayo I want to share a simple story.

My new work is amazing and offered delicious churros today. I being a churro enthusiast took full advantage of this. I may be exaggerating but I literally think all I ate was churros today. My coworker said I had the energy and enthusiasm of a chipper squirrel.

I think that is a good thing.

Anyways Happy 5th of May!

 

Also did you know that it’s Oyster day? I mean while you are throwing back some margaritas and Coronas you might as well throw some oysters your way too!

I’m going to recover from my sugar high now….

I suppose its somewhere between being too busy to even check an email… But it’s for good reasons I promise.

Today is my brother’s birthday and he’s very far away from me in actual miles.

So you know that there will be doodles.

I was supposed to send him something…. but I just can’t remember what it was

No… I don’t really see you wearing a tote in the arctic…

But I don’t see how you could use a vote… I mean you’re not running for office. And I don’t think you have entered the Voice this year.

It seems fun, but it could be dangerous…

You could use it… But I don’t have the cash for that right now… give me a week or a few years.

Look on the Rainbow Brite side of Life

I wanted to thank all of you who voted for Veronica and my kitty creation. We made it to the top 25 of the competition out of 198.

We consider this a victory.

And I consider it like a “Silver Lining’s Playlist” kind of victory! Like I was jumping around the house looking like this:

The Dr. Pepper High

Some people are wild about sports.

Some people are crazy about fancy eateries.

Some people covet commercial jingles.

I personally delight in the 23 boastful flavors of Dr. Pepper!

I could drink it all the time. I fear that someday I will be discovered passed out with a case around me and a smile on my face.

Combine Dr. Pepper with my back pain pills and I may even laugh at Ashton Kutcher… or more honestly I will just sing Huey Lewis songs.
